Job DescriptionJob Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax regulations and financial concepts, coupled with proficiency in tax software. This role is essential for preparing and filing client tax returns accurately and efficiently. Duties
- Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Review financial records, including income statements and documentation of expenses, to determine tax liabilities.
- Utilize tax software such as Ultra Tax to ensure accurate data entry and reporting.
- Meet necessary time deadlines per task lists.
- Analyzes IRS notices and drafts responses.
- Tax planning for less complex clients.
- Stay updated on current tax laws, regulations, and financial concepts.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information while ensuring compliance with legal standards.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes related to tax preparation services. Requirements
- Proven experience in tax preparation or accounting roles, with a solid understanding of accounting principles.
- The ability to analyze financial data effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Overtime required during tax season.
