This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in accounting and finance within a fast-paced environment that values accuracy, integrity, and continuous learning. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to deliver precise financial solutions, supporting their growth and compliance needs. Responsibilities Prepare and review individual, business, and estate tax returns with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and adherence to current tax laws and regulations. Record daily transactions, conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including balance sheet reconciliation, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation using software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage. Manage general ledger accounting processes, including double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and month-end closing activities aligned with GAAP standards. Assist in regulatory compliance accounting activities related to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements and other financial reporting obligations. Support corporate accounting functions such as accounts payable, payroll processing, budgeting, and asset management to maintain accurate financial records. Provide insights through financial report writing and interpretation to aid management decision-making on mergers & acquisitions, private equity investments, or financial planning initiatives. Ensure all tax filings are completed accurately and timely while maintaining comprehensive documentation for audits or regulatory reviews. Collaborate with clients on estate planning strategies involving wills, trusts, & estate law to optimize their financial outcomes. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Proven experience in accounting and finance roles with a strong understanding of accounting concepts such as debits & credits, GAAP standards, and technical accounting practices. Demonstrated tax experience including preparation of various tax returns including complex business tax returns and knowledge of tax laws affecting individuals and corporations. Familiarity with regulatory compliance accounting frameworks like SOX and securities law is highly desirable. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms; AI automation, experience with financial software for analysis and reporting is essential. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately; excellent attention to detail is a must. Knowledge of non-profit accounting practices and experience with asset management or investment analysis is a plus. Effective communication skills for preparing clear financial reports and collaborating across teams; ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently.
