This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in tax preparation, accounting, and financial analysis to deliver exceptional service to our clients. As a key member of our tax team, you will handle complex tax situations, ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, and provide strategic insights into tax planning and reporting. Your energetic approach and strong technical skills will drive success in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence. Responsibilities Prepare and review individual, business, estate, and trust tax returns with precision and efficiency. Advise clients on tax planning strategies, including estate planning, trusts, and estate law considerations. Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws, regulations, including SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements for internal controls. Conduct detailed analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, utilizing accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar tools. Reconcile accounts and perform general ledger accounting tasks to support accurate financial reporting. Assist in audits by providing supporting documentation and explanations of financial data; interpret financial reports for clients. Collaborate with clients on financial services such as investment analysis, asset management, payroll processing, and budgeting. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of securities law, GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), tax accounting standards, and regulatory reporting requirements. Support mergers & acquisitions activities through due diligence and financial analysis; prepare detailed financial report writing. Utilize technical accounting skills for double entry bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining complex tax concepts clearly and building long-term client relationships. Experience Proven experience in public accounting or private sector tax preparation with a strong background in tax experience across various entities. Demonstrated expertise in estate planning, wills, trusts & estate law; familiarity with non-profit accounting is a plus. Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage or similar platforms for bookkeeping and financial analysis. Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, balance sheet reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable, and regulatory compliance. Ability to interpret complex financial data through analysis skills; proficient in financial report interpretation and writing. Knowledge of securities law, private equity transactions, mergers & acquisitions processes is advantageous. Excellent analytical skills combined with attention to detail for account reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation tasks. Familiarity with payroll systems and asset management practices enhances your ability to serve diverse client needs. Effective communication skills for explaining technical accounting topics clearly to clients at all levels.
