Meredith College is seeking an adjunct instructor for Tax Accounting at the undergraduate level for the fall semester (August through December 2026).
Duties:
The Meredith College School of Business is seeking an adjunct instructor for one section of ACC-336 Federal Taxation of Individuals course at the undergraduate level. This course fulfills a requirement for the Accounting concentration within the Business Administration major and Accounting minor. The purpose of the course is to provide a comprehensive interpretation and application of the federal income tax code as it pertains to the determination of taxable income and computation of tax liability for individuals.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation, with CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or ATA (Accredited Tax Advisor) is strongly desired. PhD or DBA is preferred from an AACSB-accredited business school. Significant professional tax accounting experience is highly preferred (5-10 years). Ability to translate complex tax law into accessible, practical knowledge for students. Proven track record of effective teaching preferred, especially for instruction in tax accounting courses. Live in the state of North Carolina and available to teach face-to-face on-campus. Applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis until needs are filled.
