Accounting Student / Recent Graduate Summer Position (2026 Tax Season Training)

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated accounting student or recent accounting graduate to join our team for summer work and hands-on training in preparation for the 2026 tax season. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in tax preparation, bookkeeping, client support, and accounting operations within a professional environment. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and interested in building a long-term career in accounting or taxation. Responsibilities Assist with personal and business tax preparation Organize and review financial documents Perform data entry tasks Communicate with clients regarding required documentation Assist with administrative and office support duties Learn and apply accounting and tax software systems Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all client work

Qualifications Preferred Candidates Will Have:

Current enrollment in an accounting, finance, or business program OR recent completion of a related diploma or degree Basic understanding of accounting principles Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Good written and verbal communication abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong computer and technical skills, including confidence learning and using new software platforms Comfortable working with AI-powered tools, digital workflows, and modern technology interfaces Proficiency with Microsoft Office, cloud-based applications, and general business software Experience with QuickBooks, accounting software, or tax software is an asset, but not required
