Accounting Assistant

Overview This role is essential to the daily operations of the office and requires exceptional flexibility, organization, and attention to detail in a small, privately-owned, busy CPA firm. You will be the backbone of our office processes, ensuring smooth daily operations and exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Welcome clients, manage calls and emails, and maintain a friendly office environment Oversee tracking and documentation for all tax client accounts Maintain organized physical and electronic filing systems Support administrative functions including tax client communications, bookkeeping, invoicing and quarter/annual tax reporting. Qualifications 2-3 years of administrative support experience Reliable, responsible, and compassionate approach Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work efficiently during peak tax season High level of comfort with computers and administrative systems Commitment to quality and operational excellence Preferred Experience Experience in a CPA firm or public accounting environment CPA coursework or designation in progress is a plus 1-3 years of Quickbooks, Excel, and Drake Tax Software experience Schedule Monday to Friday, hours negotiable

Pay:

$15.00 - $25.00 per hour
