Full-Time Position Descriptions:

Tax Preparation:

Individual, partnerships, and corporate federal and state income tax preparation.

Other tax returns:

Estate and gift tax returns, nonprofit returns, and franchise tax reports.

Bookkeeping:

General ledger accounting, bank and credit card reconciliations, maintain and post journal entries for client books. Reviewing financial statements with clients on a monthly basis to help them better understand their financial situation.

New Client Onboarding:

Working with new clients to clean-up their books and records, file back tax returns, and bring the client to current on bookkeeping and tax responsibilities. Ability to set up books from scratch for a start up businesses.

Payroll Processing:

Accurate processing of client payroll and accurate preparation of quarterly and annual payroll reports (form 941, state unemployment, state withholding, form 940, W-2s, and 1099s).

Required Experience & Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (Required) EA or CPA preferred, but not required. Recent tax experience preferred. Recent book keeping experience preferred. Prior experience in a public accounting firm preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel. Knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate, with fellow employees and face-to-face with clients. Highly motivated, driven, and proactive attitude. Exercise extreme ethical and responsible behavior. Highly adaptable to changes in workflow, being able to switch to different tasks as needed and returning to complete the original task. Critical thinking, able to problem-solve and think beyond the bare-minimum. Self-sufficient, able to be given a list of tasks and complete before deadlines. Detail and team oriented.
