Tax Preparer/Bookkeeper/Office Assistant 128 Belleview Avenue, Orange, VA 22960 From $35,000 a year - Full-time From $35,000 a year - Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a professional, committed and detail-oriented Tax Preparer, Bookkeeper, and Office Assistant to join our team. Your commitment to a growing new business environment where you will handle office task, prepare tax returns, bookkeeping and provide outstanding customer service will be essential. You will learn under years of experience. Responsibilities Prepare individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns with accuracy and compliance using tax software and manual calculations. Manage bookkeeping tasks including data entry, bank reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and maintaining accurate financial records. Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage to track financial transactions and generate reports. Key client applications for financial services and manage them to completion. Provide exceptional customer service by answering client inquiries, explaining tax concepts, and offering tailored financial solutions. Assist with marketing efforts to attract new clients through outreach, social media engagement, and community networking. Support office operations by managing schedules, filing documents, handling correspondence, and performing general administrative duties. Take ownership in the growth and service in a growing firm. Background and fingerprinting is required. Experience Some experience is required but we are willing to train. Pay will be considered based on experience and certifications like CPA. Prefer experience in public accounting or a related field with a focus on tax preparation and bookkeeping. Prefer Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, or similar platforms. Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented mindset. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a growing business environment while maintaining attention to detail.
