Bank Teller, Part-time, Bilingual Credit Union of Southern California Job Category Banking & Investments Overview Description Description:
We are hiring a Bilingual Teller (part-time) who will be responsible for providing exceptional Member experiences with a focus on courtesy, product knowledge, accuracy, and timeliness with respect to all credit union products and services. Branch Hours Monday - Friday 8:30AM to 5:30PM & Saturday 8:30AM to 1:30PM Based upon business needs, this position will require flexibility to work a varied work schedule, including weekends, during regular business hours . Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. 6+ months cash handling experience in Retail/Service industry. 6+ months experience in Member/Customer service.Bilingual:
English and Spanish. Preferred Qualifications Associate degree or equivalent experience. Working knowledge of savings and checking products, accounts, and services. Skills and Abilities Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, etc.) Good verbal and written communication skills in person and over the phone including very good active listening skills. Good interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing high quality service to our Members and working as a team player. Ability to use knowledge of products, services, and branch operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Processes Member transactions accurately, including but not limited to deposits, transfers, withdrawals, and other transactions in accordance with credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Processes all transactions within assigned limits, maintains daily cash, and sells cash to the vault as needed so as not to exceed established limit. Adheres to accurate cash balancing procedures. Researches and resolves cash differences. Identifying opportunities to cross-sell credit union products and services while generating referrals based on Member needs. Responsible for responding to Member inquiries and resolving issues. Educate Members on alternative channels that provide service. Adhere to accurate check scanning and balancing. Adhere to the service standards outlined by the credit union. Assist with opening/closing branch procedures as necessary; Saturday availability. Adhere to credit union policies, operational controls, and regulatory procedures to ensure the safety and security of Member and credit union assets. Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of all credit union products and services. Must be able to work in a team environment with the ability to interact well, and in a positive manner, with co-workers and management. Complete understanding and active application the Exceptional Experience Guide expectations. Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. We support Pay Transparency and are a pay-for-performance organization that benchmarks base pay to the 50th percentile of market data.Pay Scale:
