Job Description

Teller II / Teller III (Experienced Teller) Champions First Credit Union is a growing, member-focused financial institution on a clear path toward 650 million in assets. We are committed to providing exceptional service, building trusted member relationships, and developing our employees as we grow. We are currently seeking an experienced Teller to join our branch team, with placement at the Teller II or Teller III level based on experience and demonstrated skills. This opportunity is ideal for a teller with solid financial institution experience who is confident handling transactions, understands compliance requirements, and is ready to grow within a supportive and service-driven organization. Position Summary The Teller performs a wide variety of member transactions while providing accurate information about Champions First Credit Union's products and services. This role ensures teller operations are completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with all policies and regulations. Depending on experience, the position may include additional responsibilities such as override authority, mentoring other tellers, and supporting more complex transactions. Key Responsibilities Perform financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, cash advances, check cashing, and monetary instrument purchases Evaluate checks for negotiability and apply Check21 procedures Comply with all state and federal regulations, including OFAC, BSA, and FACTA Maintain working knowledge of Shared Branching rules and procedures Respond to member inquiries regarding accounts, loans, and credit union products and services Support cross-selling efforts by educating members about products and services that meet their needs Assist with teller line operations including balancing, cash management, vault functions, night deposits, and ATM balancing Serve as a resource for transaction questions, check holds, out-of-balance situations, and complex member needs Open new accounts and complete required system functions and documentation; experienced tellers may handle more complex accounts Conduct initial loan interviews and collect information for underwriting Complete CTRs and SARs as required Assist with audits, research requests, and examiner inquiries Maintain accurate records, optical imaging documents, and teller work organization Maintain a professional, compliant, and welcoming teller line and branch appearance Escalate operational concerns to branch leadership as appropriate Maintain regular and dependable attendance Qualifications Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with a professional demeanor Ability to handle sensitive information and member interactions with care and discretion Working knowledge of teller operations, cash handling, and compliance requirements Ability to mentor and assist other tellers, based on experience level Intermediate math skills High school diploma or equivalent required
Teller II:
Prior teller or member service experience in a credit union or financial institution
Teller III:
