Job Description

We are searching for an organized, detail-oriented, attentive person to provide exceptional service to our customers by handling routine tasks, such as accepting deposits, handling withdrawals, processing payments and opening new accounts for clients. The teller responsibilities will also include: Respond to customer requests and inquiries; Make recommendations about bank products and services; Maintain and balance cash drawers; Keep a clean, organized work area; Maintain a professional appearance; Handle currency, transactions and confidential information in a responsible manner; Follow all Bank financial and security regulations and procedures; and, Use software to process transactions, to research customer inquiries and to track bank information for report generation.
New accounts responsibilities include:
Explaining the various account options by describing the services related to each type of account, including limits, requirements or fees associated with each type of account; Interview customer to obtain information needed for opening accounts or renting safe deposit boxes; Compile data or documentation from the customer and enter information into software programs to generate appropriate paperwork for accounts; Assist the customer with completion of paperwork to open the new account; Explain regulations, policies or procedures as necessary; Ensure that the customer's information is confidentially and effectively recorded; Collect initial account deposit and process it for the customer; Order checks and/or debit cards; Answer customer inquiries; and, Explain other available products and services. To succeed in this position, you should have a professional appearance and a customer-focused attitude. You should be courteous, efficient, helpful and accurate and have a neat, professional appearance.
