Part time Teller

Part Time Teller First Security Bank is seeking an energetic, customer service focused individual to join our Paola bank team. As a community bank we are focused on supporting our customers and our community by providing excellent customer service and providing exciting new products.

Job Duties:

Provides account services to customers by receiving deposits and loan payments; cashing checks; issuing savings withdrawals; recording night and mail deposits; selling cashier's checks, money orders; answering questions in person or on telephone; referring to other bank services. Cross-sells bank products by answering inquiries; informing customers of new services and product promotions; ascertaining customers' needs; directing customers to a branch representative. Completes special requests by closing accounts; taking orders for checks; providing statements on request, copies and referrals; completing safe-deposit box procedures. Reconciles cash drawer by proving cash transactions; turning in excess cash and mutilated currency to head teller; maintaining supply of cash and currency. Complies with bank operations and security procedures by participating in all dual control functions; maintaining customer traffic surveys; auditing other tellers' and vault currency. Maintains customer confidence and protects bank operations by keeping information confidential. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related task and projects as needed. Scheduled every Saturday weekend from 8:45 to 12pm. Other tasks as assigned.

Physical Demands:

Regular attendance and timeliness are essential functions of this position. While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand for a significant period of time and perform functions that require manual dexterity. The employee must occasionally reach above or below normal body position, stoop or bend, and carry, lift or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds. A normal range of hearing, vision, and speech are required to effectively work with co-employees and members.
