Job Description

Position Summary The Member Relationship Lead plays an important leadership role within the branch by assisting with the daily supervision and coordination of teller operations while continuing to provide excellent member service. This individual serves as a resource and mentor to teller staff, helping ensure accurate transactions, operational compliance, and a positive member experience. The Member Relationship Lead supports branch efficiency by providing guidance to team members, assisting with scheduling and audits, resolving complex member concerns, and promoting credit union products and services that meet members' financial needs. What Makes an Ideal Candidate Strong knowledge of teller operations and cash handling procedures Positive leadership approach with the ability to mentor and support team members Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail Strong problem solving and decision-making skills A personable, friendly, and approachable demeanor with a genuine desire to help others Maintains a positive attitude, professional presence, and welcoming smile in all member and team interactions Demonstrates professionalism and respect in every interaction with members, co-workers, and community partners Key Responsibilities Teller Operations Leadership Assist the Main Operations Manager in coordinating daily teller line activities Provide guidance, training, and mentoring to teller staff Assist with preparing teller schedules and ensuring adequate coverage Review teller transactions and work to ensure accuracy and compliance Conduct or assist with teller drawer audits and operational checks Support new teller onboarding and training Member Service & Transactions Provide exceptional service during all member interactions Accurately process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, and other transactions Handle more complex member concerns or transaction issues referred by tellers Greet members warmly and professionally, creating a welcoming experience for every individual who enters the branch Build relationships with members by understanding their financial needs Product & Service Awareness Educate members about credit union products and services Identify opportunities to deepen member relationships through appropriate recommendations Support branch initiatives that promote growth in memberships, accounts, and loans Operational Support Assist with vault balancing and cash management procedures Monitor teller activity to identify potential fraud or unusual transactions Ensure compliance with credit union policies, operational procedures, and regulatory requirements Serve as a secondary for currency transaction reporting Support overall branch operations and teamwork across departments Professional Standards and Expectations The Member Relationship Lead represents Kansas Teachers Community Credit Union in every interaction and is expected to consistently demonstrate a high level of professionalism and integrity. This role is expected to uphold the integrity of the credit union's values and adhere to all expectations outlined in the KTCCU Employee Handbook, including standards related to professionalism, confidentiality, teamwork, and ethical conduct. Regulatory Compliance & Confidentiality This position is responsible for complying with all applicable regulatory requirements including: Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Identity Theft Red Flags Rule Strict confidentiality must be maintained regarding all member and credit union information. Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED Minimum three years of teller or banking experience Proven cash handling accuracy and strong customer service skills Leadership ability and experience assisting or mentoring team members Preferred Previous Lead Teller or supervisory teller experience Experience assisting with teller training or scheduling Work Environment This position operates within a climate-controlled branch environment that may experience high member traffic during peak service times. Frequent use of computers, telephones, and office equipment is required. The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team is essential.
