Job Description

We are looking for a reliable credit union teller to process all transactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with established policies and procedures. The successful candidate will be the "frontline" of our credit union and will play a fundamental role in achieving our customer satisfaction and revenue growth objectives. You must be able to perform many transactions daily, communicate with different types of member's and sell credit union products/services. Responsibilities Follow teller procedures as instructed by the Manager Answer phones Open/close memberships Conduct all cash transactions Accept loan payments Process account deposits and withdrawals Assess member needs and introduce new products and services (credit cards, Certificate of Deposits, IRA's etc.) Process night deposit transactions Maintain an adequate cash drawer at all times; buys and sells currency from the vault, as necessary Balance cash drawer in accordance with credit union procedures and regulations. Employee will be doing daily filing and scanning of credit union documents. Go the "extra mile" to build trust relationships, member loyalty and satisfaction Comply with regulatory requirements Manage risk in every transaction and detect fraudulent transactions to prevent losses Resolve members' issues and provide relevant information Skills Proven working experience in a credit union or financial environment are preferred but not necessary Basic PC knowledge Strong communication and time management skills Strong customer service skills Attention to detail and mathematical skills Must be able to multi-task Must be a team player and willing to cross train and help in other areas of the credit union
