Job Description

Job Summary:
A Teller I is responsible for providing exceptional member service while performing a variety of banking transactions. This role is responsible for accurately and efficiently processing financial transactions, promoting credit union products and services, and ensuring that all transactions are conducted in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations. The Teller will be a key member of the branch team and is responsible for ensuring that members receive exceptional banking experience.
Location:
The position is based at our Auburn branch, located at 760 Minot Ave Auburn, ME 04210. This is a full time position.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of banking transactions, including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and account inquiries. Accurately and efficiently process transactions using various financial systems and equipment. Identify opportunities to cross-sell credit union products and services to members. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting members, answering questions, and resolving any issues or concerns. Maintain a working knowledge of credit union policies, procedures, and regulations. Balance cash drawer at the end of each shift and ensure that all transactions are accurately recorded. Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with banking products, services, and industry trends. Perform all other duties assigned by immediate supervisor or management.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Strong communication, interpersonal, and member service skills. Ability to handle cash and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Ability to pass a background check and credit check. Must be bondable.
Physical Requirements:
The Teller position requires the ability to perform the following physical activities: Standing and walking for extended periods of time. Lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds.
