Lead Bank Teller

Americana Community Bank is looking for a Lead Teller to join our Maple Grove team. The Teller acts as a liaison between the customer and the bank for the purpose of developing a good relationship, handles all customer transactions, and assist customers with any requests or questions they may have in person, over the phone and email. This position also assists the Retail Branch Manager with managing the day to day operations of the branch and training other Teller staff. We are looking for someone motivated, detail oriented, flexible and outgoing with excellent technology skills. Availability must include 1-2 Saturdays per month by rotation.

Job Responsibilities:

Cash Handling, Supply Management and Transaction Supervision Oversee cash handling procedures, including vault and ATM management, to ensure accuracy, security, and availability of funds. Manage transactions efficiently while upholding the highest standards of accuracy and integrity. Ensure all transactions are completed with high accuracy by balancing your drawer, processing exceptions and complying with set cash limits. Manage the supply of cash, currency, and other essential materials for daily branch operations. Ensure resources are utilized efficiently and are readily available to meet the branch's operational needs. Customer Service Leadership Provide general customer support, address inquiries, and resolve complex issues. Leading by example in delivering outstanding service, fostering a positive banking experience for all customers. Demonstrate patience and understanding to resolve concerns effectively, enhancing customer satisfaction. Perform all major job roles of the Tellers to be able to effectively and efficiently assist customers. Operational Compliance and Audit Readiness Review transactions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including but not limited to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and fraud. Accurate completion of CTRs and timely reporting of suspicious activity. Complete all the Internal Control audit functions timely according to the branch Internal Control Chart and follow all requirements of the Security Operating Procedures as directed by the Retail Branch Manager. Implement controls and checks to mitigate risks and maintain operational integrity. Sales Referral and Promotion Identify opportunities to refer customers to other bank services and products that meet their needs, contributing to the bank's sales objectives. Educate customers about available banking options and services. Participate in branch community volunteer events. Team Training and Development Identify training needs and facilitate ongoing education for tellers in operational procedures, customer service best practices, and compliance requirements. Mentor tellers to enhance their skills and confidence in handling daily tasks.
