Teller (Part-Time)

Join our Sentry Bank Team! Sentry Bank is looking to hire a part-time teller to work at our St. Joseph Branch. We are in need of someone who can work shifts between 7:30am and 5:30pm Monday-Friday. Saturday mornings, 8am-12pm, 1-2/month. •Saturdays shifts are 1.5x pay! Average hours would be between 15-30/week. Summary Bank tellers are responsible for providing exceptional customer service including efficient transaction processing. Essential Functions Provide excellent customer service Maintain a professional appearance and relationship towards customers Process customer transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, etc. Process night and mail deposits under dual control Balance vault and coin machine at end of day Assist with ordering debit cards and checks Ensure account numbers, check amounts, cash in/out, and cash totals are accurate Verify customer identification, funds available, signatures, and other information Maintain confidentiality of customer information Assist customers with digital banking questions and access Adding customers debit cards to the travel log Process cash advances, redeem U.S. Savings Bonds Periodic duties include assisting with ATM, training new tellers, answering the phone, and opening and closing the bank Work at other Sentry Bank locations as needed Follow all bank policies and procedures Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Previous banking experience a plus! Customer service or cash handling experience required Reliable and punctual Effective communication skills Ability to engage customers, begin a conversation, build rapport, and resolve issues Detail oriented, high degree of accuracy and efficiency Sentry Bank is an equal opportunity employer.
