The position is responsible for providing exceptional member service and performing various financial transactions for our members. This position will start off as a Teller and will eventually cross-train to be a Member Services Representative (opens accounts, IRAs, accepts loan applications, etc.). Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Responsibilities:

Basic Teller Duties:

accept deposits; cash member checks; determine length of check holds and sufficiency of funds in members' accounts; process line-of-credit, Visa payments, advances, and other loan payments, etc. Cross-sell credit union products, services, and loans. Crosstrain to become a Member Services Representative which includes, but not limited to, opening and maintaining accounts, accepting loan applications, answering calls in a phone queue, and helping members with account questions and problems. Provide information and answer questions in person, through written correspondence, via e-mail, and over the telephone for members and potential members.

Requirements:

At least 1 year of teller experience in a retail banking environment is required. Credit Union experience is a plus. Account opening experience is a plus. A great personality and the ability to cross-sell products and services is required. Strong attention to detail and a professional, team-oriented attitude is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills are required. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
