As a Head Banker at our Granville office, you serve as the key frontline leader responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience while overseeing teller line operations and daily branch activity. This role combines advanced customer service, operational oversight, problem solving, team support, and guidance to ensure efficient, accurate, and compliant service delivery. The Head Banker acts as a primary resource for both customers and team members on the teller line, resolving complex inquiries, ensuring accurate teller and branch cash limits, supporting transaction processing, maintaining operational integrity, and providing guidance to ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. In addition, the Head Banker fosters strong customer relationships by identifying needs and recommending appropriate products and services. This role also supports branch performance by contributing to sales and referral goals, while assisting with account opening, wire processing, ordering debit cards, and other customer transactions as appropriate.

The salary range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00 an hour commensurate with experience and education. Additional compensation may be earned through the Companys annual bonus program, subject to individual and company performance.

Essential Job Functions:
> Processes transactions accurately and efficiently; follow proper cash handling procedures; balance cash drawer and adhere to established cash limits, buying and selling currency from the vault > Fields incoming customer service calls referencing knowledge of Company operations, products, services, and programs> Identifies opportunities to provide additional products or services and generate client referrals > Answers account and banking related questions such as interest rates, service charges, and account histories while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations, and consumer privacy policies> Prevents and detects fraud by identifying counterfeit currency and monetary instruments, including cashiers checks, money orders, and domestic/international wire transfers, following customer identity verification, adhering to check cashing and dual-control procedures> Performs daily reconciliation and maintenance for the ATM and process night depository bags under dual-control as assigned> Protects customer and Company resources by following security requirements such as executing branch opening and closing protocols ensuring branch safety> Provides key support to the Banker I and Banker II, by serving as a peer mentor and subject matter expert for complex customer service inquiries and transactions> Prepares and submits, assigned, monthly reporting; ensures reports and logs are completed on time> Opens basic customer accounts, such as checking and saving, and orders debit cards as appropriate> Maintains up-to-date knowledge of and adheres to applicable federal regulations and Company policies and proceduresWhat you will need to thrive in this role:In addition to your work and life experiences, as well as your passion and excitement for the profession, you would benefit from having:
Education/Certifications:
> Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred> 3 years of experience in banking, customer service, cash handling, or retail sales preferredSkills/Knowledge:
> Strong written and verbal communication skills, in English, with the ability to communicate confidentially, clearly, professionally, and confidently with customers, internal partners, management, and other stakeholders; bilingual is a plus> Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality customer service with a courteous, patient, and professional demeanor> Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills with the ability to follow procedures > Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while remaining aware of surroundings and priorities> Sound judgment, discretion, and a high level of integrity when handling confidential information> Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel) and ability to effectively learn and utilize department specific systems and softwarePhysical Demands and Work Environment:
> Ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing, for prolonged periods of time> Ability to repetitively use a telephone, computer mouse, and keyboard for extended durations> Ability to move, lift, carry cash bags, coin boxes, and branch equipment up to 30 pounds> Travel to various branches as needed; travel can be completed by car, public transportation, or other reasonable means.
