Job Description

NPFCU is proud to enter our 71st year of providing financial services to our member-owners. As a credit union, we strive to put members' needs first as we work together to help them succeed at every stage of life. Position Summary Join our boutique team as a Member Service Representative, where your welcoming face and positive attitude will serve as the first point of contact for members, providing friendly, efficient service while supporting their financial needs. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help ensure smooth banking operations and promote member satisfaction by connecting members with the products and services that best suit their needs. What you'll do Encourage member relationships by greeting members warmly and assisting with a variety of banking transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, cash handling, opening new accounts, and account inquiries, whether in-person, by mail, or by phone. Help fulfill member needs through your understanding of credit union products by listening to our members and matching them with the products or services that help them thrive. Detect and prevent fraud by monitoring transactions for suspicious activity and adhering to security protocols. Show professionalism by maintaining your cash drawer accurately and responsibly. Your organizational skills and attention to detail will shine. Represent the credit union with integrity and confidence, even under pressure. Provide resolution for member issues by addressing any concerns and finding effective resolutions promptly. Skills and traits we are looking for Previous experience in financial settings or customer service within credit unions or banks is preferred. Basic math skills are essential. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial products clearly and confidently. Ability to identify opportunities for additional services that benefit members while supporting credit union goals. Experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided. This Member Service Representative role is designed for motivated individuals eager to make a positive impact through exceptional service while upholding the credit union motto of "people helping people". Our emphasis is on our members over our bottom line. Physical requirements This position requires the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time. You will be handling cash and various pieces of office equipment, such as a computer, phone, scanner, and copier. You will need to be able to bend, reach, lift, communicate on the telephone, and in person. Reasonable accommodations will be made to support qualified individuals.
