Under direction of the Branch Manager, the Member Service Representative is responsible for providing accurate and efficient service to members and handling all transactions relating to loans, deposit accounts, and other member service related activity. Must provide detailed information to members and potential members about all Credit Union products and services and appropriately cross-sell these services. Will also perform the duties and responsibilities of a Teller, Experienced Teller, or Head Teller. The person is required to perform these duties at any Credit Union location as assigned.

Job Requirements:

This position requires that the candidate register or become registered as a Mortgage Loan Originator with the NMLS Registry, obtain a unique identifier and maintain a status in good standing (as defined by the SAFE Act). In addition, the candidate must satisfy the Rhode Island licensing requirements to sell credit insurance products.

Education, Experience, Competencies and Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent. Excellent face-to-face and telephone communication and member service skills. Professional and positive attitude. Ability to read and learn written procedures and policies. Perform transactions accurately and efficiently. Maintain composure and professionalism while working with the public. Operate standard office equipment. Communicate effectively, orally and in writing. Pass a background check. Possess basic math and computer skills. Bilingual helpful.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand or sit regularly. Frequently use hand to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk, see or hear. Ability to regularly stoop, walk, kneel or crouch. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and up to 50 pounds in locations with a lobby coin machine
