Teller

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Teller to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina. This contract position with the potential for long-term employment offers an excellent opportunity to work in the banking industry while building your skills in financial operations and customer service. The ideal candidate will handle a variety of banking transactions while ensuring exceptional service to our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with everyday banking needs, including deposits, withdrawals, and account inquiries.
• Process financial transactions such as check cashing, account openings, and balance verifications with accuracy.
• Maintain and reconcile cash drawers to ensure compliance with established standards.
• Provide guidance to customers on banking products and services, tailoring solutions to their needs.
• Ensure adherence to risk management and security protocols during all transactions.
• Resolve account-related issues promptly and professionally to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Participate in daily financial reconciliations and reporting to support branch operations.
• Verify and process customer deposits, ensuring compliance with banking regulations.
• Contribute to a positive customer experience by delivering courteous and efficient service.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and suggest process enhancements. Requirements
• Previous experience in cash handling, customer service, or a similar role within the banking industry.
• Strong knowledge of financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and account management.
• Familiarity with risk management practices and regulatory compliance in banking operations.
• Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in resolving customer inquiries and account issues effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse clientele.
• Competence in managing cash balances and reconciling cash drawers.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in banking or finance are a plus.
