Banking Full Job Description Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of a Teller Supervisor is to oversee the day-to-day operations of the teller line. The Teller Supervisor will assist tellers by being available, approachable, and knowledgeable, providing support to both customers and employees. This includes managing all branch cash, including the vault supply, and ensuring accurate processing of transactions. Additionally, the Teller Supervisor is expected to always maintain professional and effective communication with both customers and colleagues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The following duties are not exhaustive and may be subject to change. Adhere to established policies and procedures. Greet and assist customers in a courteous and efficient manner. Ensure confidentiality of customer and bank information. Proficiency in the use of a keyboard required. Accurately interpret and apply instructions, policies, and procedures. Utilize mathematical skills to handle transactions accurately (addition, subtraction, multiplication, etc.). Perform daily banking operations, including reports, shipments, scheduling, audits, end-of-month procedures, and other related duties. Research teller outages report to Branch Manager, Teller Administrator as required. Ensure exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all job functions. Train, supervise, and evaluate the performance of tellers. Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and related transactions, verifying necessary information. Follow Planters Bank policies regarding holds on accounts and fraud prevention. Responsible for ensuring that all work is properly scanned and that the scanning cutover process has been completed. Operate office machinery (coin counters, currency counters, etc.) with precision. Maintain accurate cash drawer levels and safeguard cash at all times. Answer customer inquiries and use opportunities to cross-sell products and services. Process mail deposits, loan deposits, and night depository transactions. Issue cashier's checks, credit card cash advances, and other bank products as required. Updating and following procedures for return mail to the branch. Demonstrate product knowledge and refer customers to appropriate services. Maintain a secure and safe working environment for both customers and colleagues. Be flexible, serving as a backup CSR when needed. Participate in rotating Saturday shifts. Required to be a floating teller, must be flexible. Comply with all applicable federal and state banking laws, regulations, and rules. Always treat all colleagues and customers with respect and professionalism. Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional education is a plus. 2-3 years of previous banking or cash handling experience required. Ability to perform over-the-counter customer services with attention to detail. Strong judgment, courtesy, patience, and interpersonal skills required. Proficiency in computer use and familiarity with teller systems.
