Full-time Teller I Reports To:
Teller Supervisor or Assistant Branch Manager As a Teller I, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and performing a range of financial transactions. This is an entry-level position where you will be learning essential teller duties while maintaining accuracy, a high level of professionalism, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Process customer deposits, withdrawals, transfers, payments, and check cashing transactions accurately. Verify and validate customer identification and check signatures to ensure compliance. Assist customers with account inquiries and provide information on products and services. Balance cash drawer throughout the day and at the end of each shift to ensure accuracy. Maintain precise transaction records and ensure compliance with company policies. Follow security procedures to prevent fraud, report suspicious activity and ensure the safety of financial transactions. Identify customer needs and refer them to appropriate departments or products. Maintain confidentiality of customer information at all times. Provide excellent customer service with a positive, friendly attitude. Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
Previous experience in a banking or customer service role is preferred
Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent customer service orientation and ability to build relationships. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Basic math skills and attention to detail
