Schedule:
Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM TDL Staffing is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to support financial operations for a well-established organization in Fairbanks. This position works closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and plays a key role in overseeing accounting functions, financial reporting, and internal processes. The Controller is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting budgeting and audit activities, and ensuring efficient and compliant financial operations. This role also includes oversight of key programs, donation processing functions, and staff leadership.

This position operates within a mission-driven environment and requires professionalism, discretion, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse community. Core Responsibilities Financial Oversight & Reporting Oversee accounting operations and ensure accuracy of financial records Prepare and distribute financial reports, including quarterly program reporting Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules Budgeting, Audit & Compliance Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Support audit preparation and maintain required schedules and documentation Help evaluate and maintain financial policies and internal controls Accounts, Funds & Reconciliation Reconcile accounts across accounting and donor systems Oversee cash receipts and donation processing functions Prepare and manage financial activity for designated funds and accounts Leadership & Collaboration Provide guidance, oversight, and support to accounting staff Work closely with internal teams to maintain consistent financial practices Participate in meetings and contribute to organizational planning What We're Looking For The ideal candidate brings strong accounting expertise and the ability to lead and support a team. This role requires sound judgment, integrity, and attention to detail, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

Strong organizational and communication skills, a collaborative approach, and a service-focused mindset are important for success in this role, along with the ability to work effectively within a mission-driven environment. Minimum Requirements Associate's degree in Accounting with 3+ years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience (10+ years) Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred CPA designation preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and accounting software such as QuickBooks Valid driver's license Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professional discretion Background screening is a part of the hiring process for this position Support a drug free work environment Ready to get started?
