As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced Controller to lead our accounting and financial operations. This is a key leadership role for an individual who enjoys building processes, improving financial visibility, and contributing to strategic business decisions. Position Summary The Controller will work closely with the Director of Operations to oversee all accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, inventory accounting, cash management, and compliance functions for the company. The successful candidate will be a hands-on financial leader capable of supporting day-to-day accounting operations while providing strategic financial insight to company leadership. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in distribution, inventory accounting, manufacturing, logistics, or chemical-related industries. Responsibilities Lead all accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, General Ledger, and Fixed Assets Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Manage month-end and year-end close processes Oversee inventory accounting, reconciliations, and valuation Monitor product margins, freight costs, and operational expenses Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts Provide monthly financial analysis and variance reporting Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and working capital Establish and maintain strong internal controls Coordinate tax reporting and external audits Support strategic planning, pricing decisions, and business growth initiatives Supervise and develop accounting and administrative staff Ensure compliance with all applicable financial and regulatory requirements Qualifications Required Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience Minimum 3 years in a Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar leadership role Strong understanding of GAAP Experience with inventory accounting and financial reporting Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Preferred CPA designation Experience in chemical distribution, wholesale distribution, manufacturing, logistics, or industrial services Experience with ERP systems and inventory management software Multi-entity accounting experience Experience working in a privately held company environment What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is: Highly organized and detail-oriented A proactive problem solver Comfortable working in a fast-paced growth environment Able to communicate effectively with operations and executive leadership Focused on continuous improvement and process development Committed to accuracy, accountability, and confidentiality Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Annual performance bonus opportunity Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and company holidays 401(k) with company match (if applicable) Professional development opportunities Long-term career growth with a growing organization Apply Today If you are an experienced financial professional looking for an opportunity to make a significant impact within a growing company, we encourage you to apply.
