Job Description

Job Overview:
ARC is seeking a detail-oriented Cost Controller to oversee and manage project costs, budgets, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing or industrial automation environments, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with project managers, engineers, and leadership to ensure projects are delivered on budget and with maximum efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis, and general ledger activities to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data. Oversee cash management functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely processing of payments and collections. Conduct detailed account reconciliations in QuickBooks, identifying and resolving discrepancies as needed. Support and maintain internal controls, including adherence to accounting principles such as debits and credits, double-entry bookkeeping, and standard accounting procedures. Assist in preparing financial reports, providing clear insights into company performance and supporting audits and external reviews. Collaborate with project managers and other departments to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives. Maintain accurate and organized documentation of financial transactions in compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred. 3-5 years of experience in cost control, project accounting, or financial analysis, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial automation environment. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks. Proven experience with account reconciliations, balance sheet analysis, and financial reporting. Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management processes. Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis methods. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
