Assistant Controller

SystemsAccountants is partnering with a global food supplier and manufacturer based in Long Island City to place an Assistant Controller. You'd be joining during a critical phase of growth - the company has been growing steadily for the last five years - and would have a clear path to advancement, working under their current Controller, who plans to retire in 3-4 years. Our client is also just now kicking off its NetSuite implementation - although extensive participation in the implementation is not required, there is an opportunity for experienced candidates to take on system ownership. Responsibilities Manage month-end close Review inventory Assist with cash management and audits Eventually oversee AP and AR Assist with ongoing NetSuite implementation Qualifications 3-5 years of accounting experience Experience using NetSuite for standard accounting processes; experience as an administrator and/or working on a NetSuite implementation preferred Food & beverage manufacturing experience preferred; previous physical product-based experience required
