$200,000-$250,000 base + total compensation Overview A rapidly growing outpatient medical services firm based in Scottsdale is seeking a Controller to lead the accounting function during a period of sustained growth and significant M&A activity. This role will manage a team of approximately 10 accounting professionals and act as a close partner to the CFO, helping to scale the finance organization, integrate newly acquired entities, and strengthen financial reporting and controls. The ideal candidate brings deep hands‑on controllership experience, has worked in a multi‑entity environment, and has successfully managed accounting integration for newly acquired businesses. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of approximately 10 professionals across accounting, close, and reporting functions Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process across the parent company and multiple subsidiary entities Partner closely with the CFO on financial reporting, operational metrics, and strategic finance initiatives Oversee GAAP financial statements, internal management reporting, and consolidated reporting packages Lead accounting integration for newly acquired outpatient practices, including: Chart of accounts alignment Standardizing close timelines and reporting processes Implementing and enforcing accounting policies and procedures Establishing consistent internal controls across entities Ensure accuracy and integrity of revenue recognition, expense management, and balance sheet accounts Support external audits, lender reporting, and financial diligence for future acquisitions Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and scalability across the accounting organization Serve as a key finance partner to operational leadership and practice management teams Qualifications 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including senior‑level controllership responsibilities Prior experience as a Controller or senior accounting leader in a multi‑entity environment Demonstrated experience supporting M&A activity, including post‑acquisition accounting integration and ongoing subsidiary management Proven leadership experience managing and developing accounting teams (experience managing teams of ~10 or more preferred) Strong GAAP knowledge with hands‑on ownership of close, financial reporting, and internal controls Healthcare, outpatient medical, or services‑based industry experience strongly preferred Ability to partner closely with executive leadership, including direct collaboration with a CFO CPA preferred but not required
