Job Description:
We are seeking a strategic and analytical Director of Finance, Sales Finance & FP&A to lead financial planning, forecasting, commercial finance, and business performance management for a rapidly growing CPG company. This role serves as a key business partner to Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Executive Leadership, providing financial insights that drive profitable growth, optimize trade investments, and support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate combines strong FP&A leadership with deep experience in CPG commercial finance, including customer profitability, trade promotion management, pricing strategy, retailer economics, and revenue growth management (RGM). This individual will build scalable processes, enhance financial visibility, and help guide the company through its next phase of growth . Key Responsibiliti es Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis Lead the annual budgeting process, quarterly forecasts, long-range planning, and monthly financial reviews. Develop and maintain financial models that support strategic initiatives, growth investments, and capital allocation decisions. Provide actionable insights into revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, cash flow, and working capital performance. Deliver executive-level reporting and presentations for the CFO, CEO, Board of Directors, and investors. Establish KPIs and performance dashboards to measure financial and operational success. Sales Finance & Commercial Partnership Serve as the primary finance partner to Sales Leadership, supporting customer strategy and profitable revenue growth Analyze customer, channel, SKU, and product profitability to identify growth opportunities and margin risks. Lead financial evaluation of customer contracts, retailer programs, promotional investments, and trade spend effectiveness. Support annual customer planning, retailer negotiations, pricing decisions, and assortment optimization. Partner with Revenue Growth Management (RGM) teams to improve pricing architecture, promotional ROI, and mix management Provide financial guidance on new product launches, customer expansions, and channel growth initiatives. Forecasting & Business Performance Management Own revenue forecasting processes across customers, channels, and product categories. Collaborate with Sales, Demand Planning, and Supply Chain teams to align financial forecasts with operational plans. Identify risks and opportunities through scenario modeling and sensitivity analysi Monitor and communicate performance versus budget, forecast, and prior year results. Drive accountability for financial results across functional leadership teams. Trade Spend & Revenue Growth Management Oversee trade investment analysis and promotional performance measurement. Develop frameworks for evaluating customer profitability and trade ROI. Partner with commercial teams to optimize pricing, promotional calendars, and retailer investment strategies. Improve visibility into gross-to-net deductions, trade accruals, and margin drivers. Support implementation and optimization of trade promotion management (TPM) and revenue management tools. Team Leadership & Process Improvement Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing FP&A and commercial finance team Establish scalable financial planning processes and controls appropriate for a growing organization. Drive automation and reporting enhancements using BI and planning tools. Collaborate cross-functionally to improve data quality, reporting accuracy, and decision-making capabilities. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and business partnership. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including FP&A and commercial finance responsibilities. 5+ years of leadership experience managing finance team. Experience within a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), food & beverage, consumer products, or retail-focused organization.

Sales Finance FP&A Customer profitability analysis Trade spend management Revenue forecasting Pricing and margin analysis Financial model Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities Experience working with ERP, BI, and planning systems Preferred MBA, CPA, or CMA Experience supporting national retail customers such as Walmart, Target, Costco, Kroger, Amazon, or major grocery channels Experience in a high-growth environment
