Asst Controller

Assistant Controller Anaheim, CA $70K-$90K annually | Full-Time Fire and Gas Detection Technologies, Inc. is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Controller to oversee our accounting operations. This role is a critical part of our finance team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with accounting standards. What You'll Do Manage daily accounting operations and supervise the accounting team Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process Ensure accurate financial statements and GAAP compliance Review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation Support audits and coordinate with external accountants Maintain and enforce accounting policies and internal controls Oversee revenue recognition and tax compliance coordination Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency Serve as an escalation point for accounting issues Other duties as assigned What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred) 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting Manufacturing or inventory accounting experience preferred ERP/accounting systems proficiency Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset Why Join Us Small, collaborative manufacturing company with a supportive leadership team Direct impact on financial operations and strategic decisions Opportunity to lead and develop your accounting team Stable environment with room for growth Apply today and become a key player in our finance team!
