Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Controller to lead our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all accounting functions, manage compliance with regulatory standards, and provide strategic financial insights to support organizational growth and profitability. Your expertise will drive accurate financial management, streamline processes, and uphold the highest standards of transparency and accountability within a fast-paced, construction environment. This is an exciting opportunity for the experienced finance professional desiring to make a meaningful impact through robust financial stewardship. Duties Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including general ledger accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing and job cost reporting. Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements, as well as adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Lead balance sheet reconciliation efforts, ensuring accuracy in financial statements and account analysis. Manage cash flow and cash management activities to optimize liquidity and financial stability. Prepare comprehensive financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, highlighting key insights for stakeholders. Prepare and file all taxes required of the Corporation. Conduct internal controls testing to safeguard assets and ensure process integrity. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities to inform strategic decision-making. Collaborate with external auditors during audits and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and reporting deadlines. Requirements Proven experience in corporate accounting or public accounting roles with a strong understanding of financial concepts and practices. Proficiency in accounting software systems; familiarity with financial management tools is essential. Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform detailed account analysis and account reconciliation efficiently. Excellent knowledge of cash management techniques and financial report writing practices. Ability to interpret complex financial data accurately and communicate findings clearly to diverse audiences. Experience with regulatory reporting requirements.
