SGE is a custom manufacture looking for a Controller to lead accounting, finance and human resource functions.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are interested in locating an innovative, forward-thinking confident person, with a solid accounting and finance background, with a strong understanding of job costing and manufacturing, and with an enthusiasm for being an integral part of a dynamic company. This is a top leadership position within our company. Position manages A/P, A/R and human resource specialists. This position reports directly to the General Manager and President, provides information and support to the board of directors and would direct all day-to-day accounting functions (A/R, A/P, G/L, fixed assets, inventory, job costing etc.), provide monthly reporting and analysis to senior management, and manage the annual forecast, budget, and tax preparation process. In addition, this position has responsibility over payroll, benefits, and human resources issues. Must have excellent communication and managerial skills. Currently located in Chino, California.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Experienced with ERP systems. Reconcile WIP, inventory, finished goods, job costing and other supporting schedules to the G/L Manage month and year-end close Ensure all corporate balance sheet accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis Manage Accounts payable and accounts receivable Cash management including collections and monthly cash requirements Maintain fixed asset schedules and records Manage basic book keeping Manage cost accounting and proper reporting of inventory Sales commission payment and accounting Analysis of financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs, and compliance with budgets Develop forecasts and budgets Create effective tax planning and compliance strategies Develop the company's accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP Must be able to maintain accrual based financials with all appropriate prepaid accounts Research technical accounting issues as needed Manage cash and line of credit on a daily basis. Work with external professional on preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings. Supervise over HR issues with other department heads. Address worker compensation renewals and insurance policies.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance a must CPA or MBA required. Minimum of 6 years experience in accounting with progressively increasing responsibilities Experience in a manufacturing company appreciated Knowledge of ERP, cost accounting and inventory systems very important Strong analytical and organizational skills Solid Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills Must be able to manage, work with and motivate staff. Must be able to work independently on assigned projects/programs Self starter, motivated Must be able to apply knowledge and skills to the day-to-day operations and search for process improvements Works well under pressure Excellent written and oral communication skills
