  • Manage and mentor accounting staff while identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes, reporting, and documentation.
  • Provide financial insight and guidance to leadership to help evaluate programs, support decision-making, and strengthen long-term sustainability. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including leadership responsibility.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, nonprofit accounting, internal controls, and month-end/year-end close.
  • Experience with fund accounting, donor-restricted gifts, grants, budgeting, forecasting, audits, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience preparing board or finance committee reports and communicating financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail, discretion, and integrity. Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA, CMA, or other relevant professional certification.
  • Experience in a nonprofit, church, ministry, school, or other faith-based organization.
  • Familiarity with nonprofit financial reporting, Form 990 support, grant reporting, and donor stewardship practices.
