Job Description Our client is looking for an Assistant Controller. This position is onsite located in El Segundo, CA.

Salary:

$160,000 - $200,000

Responsibilities:

Manage accounting for acquisitions, including Purchase Price Allocations, fair value adjustments, and opening balance sheet updates Develop company-wide accounting policies, memos, and financial statement footnotes from scratch Oversee complex areas such as share-based compensation and lease accounting (ASC 842) adoption and updates Analyze and optimize accounting processes, creating standardized SOPs and templates across all cycles Build and maintain consistent reconciliation and month-end close templates for the global finance team Ensure GL consistency across parent and subsidiary entities through retrospective cleanup and standardization Lead monthly consolidations and provide clear variance analysis to explain financial results Review and validate work from offshore teams, focusing on AP, fixed assets, and prepaid accounts Support treasury management and post-acquisition working capital adjustments Act as primary liaison for external auditors, maintaining audit readiness and compliance

Required Qualifications:

7-9+ years of accounting experience, preferably starting at a Big 4 firm in audit or advisory Experience in high-growth startups or private equity-backed companies preferred, with ability to excel in fast-paced environments Deep knowledge of US GAAP, including ASC 805, 842, and 718 Resourceful and adaptable, with experience building structured processes in dynamic environments Analytical, leveraging reconciliations and financial data to deliver actionable insights and identify risk The Solomon Page Distinction Our teams, comprised of subject matter experts, develop an interest in your preferences and goals and we act as an advisor for your career advancement.
