$85,000 - $110,000 per year ________________________________________ Position Overview A well established manufacturing organization is working with AppleOne Fresno to hire their new Assistant Controller to support and enhance its financial operations. This role is responsible for full month end close, financial reporting, cost accounting, inventory management, and operational analysis within a fast paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong ERP experience, a deep understanding of manufacturing and cost accounting, and the ability to partner cross functionally to drive efficiency and profitability. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities- Lead and execute full month end close processes in an ERP Platform (SAGE 100, JD Edwards, NetSuite), including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reviews
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Support preparation of board level and executive financial reporting, including variance and trend analysis
- Own and manage the cost accounting function, including standard costing, inventory valuation, COGS, and manufacturing variances
- Partner with operations and production teams to analyze manufacturing KPIs, labor, yield, and efficiency metrics
- Provide actionable insights to improve plant performance, reduce waste, and lower operational costs
- Manage fixed assets, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals
- Collaborate with HR on payroll and labor cost analysis, ensuring accurate allocation and reporting
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling, including variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, inventory controls, and company policies
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance
- Assist with special projects, operational reporting, and ad hoc financial analysis for senior leadership ________________________________________ Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA or CMA preferred
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong focus on cost accounting and manufacturing finance
- Experience in manufacturing or CPG manufacturing environment strongly preferred
- Extensive experience with an ERP Platform
- Proven success managing month end close, financial reporting, and operational analysis
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and financial modeling skills
- High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, controls, and process improvement
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross functionally ________________________________________ How to Apply
