Description:
The Manufacturing Controller is responsible for leading all accounting, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and financial reporting activities for the Company's manufacturing subsidiary. This role serves as the senior accounting leader for the subsidiary and partners closely with the Subsidiary President and Corporate Finance team to provide accurate financial reporting, cost analysis, pricing support, inventory management oversight, and operational financial insights. The ideal candidate will possess strong manufacturing accounting experience, expertise in cost accounting and inventory management, proficiency with Epicor ERP, and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic growth environment. Duties and Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Accounting Operations Lead all day-to-day accounting operations of the subsidiary. Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements, including: Trial Balance Income Statement Balance Sheet Statement of Cash Flows Revenue and margin analysis Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies. Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes. Maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures. Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Finance Serve as the subject matter expert for all cost accounting activities. Maintain and improve standard costing methodologies. Analyze manufacturing costs, labor efficiencies, material variances, and overhead absorption. Monitor inventory valuation and costing accuracy. Analyze gross profit performance and identify margin improvement opportunities. Develop and maintain product cost models. Partner with operations leadership to improve manufacturing profitability. Inventory & ERP Management Manage accounting and controls related to: Raw Materials Inventory Work-in-Process (WIP) Finished Goods Inventory Oversee physical inventory counts and cycle count programs. Investigate and resolve inventory variances. Ensure inventory records accurately reflect operational activity. Utilize Epicor ERP to maintain accurate inventory and financial information. Pricing & Business Support Partner with the Subsidiary President to support customer pricing decisions. Provide cost and profitability analyses to support commercial decisions. Assist leadership in evaluating new products, manufacturing opportunities, and capital investments. Develop financial models and profitability analyses as needed. Corporate Reporting & Consolidation Coordinate closely with Corporate Finance and Accounting teams. Prepare monthly reporting packages and supporting schedules. Perform intercompany accounting and reconciliations. Support monthly consolidation of subsidiary financial results. Assist with preparation of annual budgets and forecasts. Audit & Compliance Coordinate annual financial statement audits and other external audits. Support tax and regulatory compliance requirements. Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation. Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Leadership Provide leadership and oversight for all accounting and cost accounting matters within the subsidiary. Develop accounting processes and best practices. Serve as the primary financial advisor to subsidiary management. Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant manufacturing accounting experience. Must be able to work onsite Monday - Friday. Strong cost accounting expertise. Experience managing inventory, WIP, and finished goods accounting. Experience preparing full monthly financial statements. Experience with intercompany accounting and reconciliations. Experience supporting external audits. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Exceptional attention to detail. Preferred CPA or CMA designation. Experience with Epicor ERP. Experience in manufacturing, industrial, equipment, or technology manufacturing environments. Experience supporting pricing decisions and gross margin analysis. Experience working within a multi-entity corporate structure. Key Success Metrics Self-starter and team player. Timely and accurate monthly financial statements. Accurate inventory valuation and reconciliation. Strong control over WIP and manufacturing costs. Timely completion of monthly close and consolidation processes. Pay:
$100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
