Karman is currently seeking an individual who shows great leadership skills, critical thinking, and high attention to detail. As the Controller, you will be responsible for the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply withgenerally accepted accounting principlesorinternational financial reporting standards. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise employees performing financial reporting, accounting, billing, collections, and budgeting duties. Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results. Maintains financial staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Support all accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance with U.S. GAAPAssist Controller with payroll reconciliation and banking transactions as necessaryAnalyze labor charging, material costs, overhead costs, and variancesSupport cashflow management and forecastingEvaluate overhead expenses and produce variance reports to identify discrepanciesConduct monthly gross margin analyses and prepare associated reportsSupport monthly closing activities, including journal entries, variance analyses, project cost revenue accounting (POC), and inventory reportingOptimize and implement
ERP/HRIS
system processesFoster a positive team culture, continuous improvement, and cross-department communicationMonitor, analyze and report on inventory valuation, production and various other costsGenerate reports, provide analysis, and draft thorough responses to support audit requestsProvide ad hoc assistance to Site Management, Corporate, and other functionsReview reporting for trends, investigate abnormalities, and provide recommendations for correctionCollect historical cost data to estimate costs for current or future productsValidate inventory cost reportingOperate in a dynamic environment with competing priorities, while maintaining high level of attention to detailSupport Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and documentationComplies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing financial reports; advising management on needed actions.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
A bachelors degree in Accounting or similar field. At least 2-3 years of audit experience is required. Ability to observe, receive, and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sources. Being able to identify the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts. Estimate sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity. Use relevant information and individual judgement to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards. Proficiency with excel and ERP systems
ASC 606 POC
Revenue Recognition is a plus Ability to read, speak and write in English
