Full Job Description Plant Controller/Finance Leader:
This role serves as a strategic finance partner to regional and site leadership, driving business performance and ensuring alignment with company objectives. The position leads all finance operations for the site, including general accounting, job cost accounting, inventory validation, and month-end close processes. Key responsibilities include managing POC (percentage of completion) accounting for the marine business, developing annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, and maintaining accurate financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP and SOX requirements. The role also oversees internal controls, audits (including government contract compliance), and ERP-based forecasting systems such as OneStream. The controller provides financial analysis to improve cost and margin performance, supports capital planning, contract negotiations, and inventory management, and prepares materials for executive business reviews. Additionally, the role focuses on building a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
An experienced manufacturing finance leader (8+ years, including 5+ as a Plant Controller) with strong accounting expertise, POC knowledge, and ERP system experience. CPA preferred. Must be adaptable, hands-on, and capable of operating in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.
