Full-time Position Summary:
The Controller will be responsible for financial reporting and maintaining the General Ledger and Fixed Asset systems. This position oversees the accounting, count team, revenue audit, payroll and accounts payable functions. The Controller is also responsible for ensuring that Audits are complete and accurate and any discrepancies are reported in accordance with State Regulations, Company's Internal Control System and departmental procedures. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.
Essential Functions:
  • Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting Company culture and always demonstrating exemplary Service Standards.
  • Maintain the General Ledger and Financial Reports.
  • Close the books on a monthly basis and perform account analysis.
  • Provide information and reports to management in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for producing management reports, financial statements and other financial information.
  • Review financial and statistical reports and balance sheets reconciliation ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Review all monthly journal entries.
  • Hire and supervise the management staff in the accounting, count team, revenue audit, payroll and accounts payable areas.
  • Provide information and reports to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in an accurate and timely fashion.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulations (NIGC) and minimum internal control standards (MICS).
  • Responsible for ensuring that staff payroll is completed and approved prior to the close of payroll deadline.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of accounting/financial management experience required.
