Controller Montebello , CA Direct Hire Accounting Management $140K to $150K 04/07/2026 Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Controller to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $140,000 to $170,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities:

Oversee all accounting and finance functions, including reporting, treasury activity, and banking relationships. Prepare timely and accurate financial statements in alignment with established accounting standards. Maintain effective controls over assets, liabilities, income, and disbursements to protect company resources. Manage cash flow, credit arrangements, and weekly financial reporting to support operational needs. Coordinate internal and external audit activity and oversee financial matters related to international operations.

Requirements:

Ability to manage general ledger activity, payables, receivables, payroll, and financial close processes. Strong understanding of tax obligations and regulatory compliance at the local, state, and federal levels. Prior experience administering benefit plans and ensuring proper handling of related contributions. Skill in maintaining banking relationships and monitoring compliance with financial covenants. Commitment to confidentiality, ethical practices, and identifying issues related to product safety or compliance.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial leadership roles. Strong knowledge of financial reporting principles and internal control frameworks. Previous experience supporting audit processes and working with external advisors across functions or regions.
