They are looking for an Assistant Controller who will work directly with the executive team and ownership to support the corporate accounting and finance operations. Key Responsibilities Support forecasting and evaluation of current and potential investments. Analyze profitability across multiple business lines. Handle month-end closing activities and prepare journal entries. Oversee equity and debt investments, preparing monthly reconciliations and financial reports. Manage tenant receivables and collections within a large real estate portfolio. Manage accounts payable and maintain fixed asset depreciation schedules for assigned entities. Collaborate with team members to complete regular reporting and financial analysis. Research and explain expense variances and assist with tax filings and audit requests. Generate financial reports and record transactions across various ERP platforms. Contribute to frequent ad hoc projects supporting finance and operations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; CPA designation preferred. Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience. Prior background in real estate, retail, or distribution industries required. Proficient in advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, Power Query, formulas). Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics tools a plus. Ability to interpret the financial impact of leases, notes, and purchase agreements.
