Job Description

Lisa Cole with Robert Half is currently working with a family-owned stable business that is looking for an experienced Controller to oversee accounting and financial management for this company. This position offers the opportunity to guide core financial activities, and partner closely with leadership on business planning. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on accounting expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to work effectively in a multi-entity environment. Responsibilities:
  • Direct accounting activities across multiple entities, including ledger management, payables, receivables, payroll oversight, and period-end close.
  • Produce accurate financial reports on a recurring basis for businesses and property investments, ensuring timely visibility into performance.
  • Monitor liquidity, develop budgets, and prepare forecasts that support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements at the federal, state, and local levels.
  • Establish and refine internal control practices that safeguard assets and promote reliable financial governance.
  • Evaluate results across business lines and deliver actionable analysis and recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Oversee financial reporting related to real estate assets, including lease activity, property-level performance, and capital spending.
  • Identify and implement improvements to accounting workflows, reporting tools, and financial processes to increase efficiency.
  • Lead, coach, and develop accounting staff while building team capability to support organizational growth.
