We are seeking a Corporate Controller to help lead the financial success of both organizations. Position Summary The Corporate Controller is responsible for maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate financial statements and GAAP compliance. The Corporate Controller meets tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities, including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation, and the support of budget and forecast activities. Also, partners with all entities and therefore requires strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal. This position requires occasional business travel.

Requirements:

Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities) Oversee and ensure accurate, timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for Rocket Farms, Inc., Growers Transplanting, Inc., and MPH. Manage entire accounting staff across all entities. Coordinate, balance monthly intercompany entries and consolidate financial statements. Provide monthly account reconciliations. Manage benefit allocations across entities. Manage lease and loan payments for LLCs. Provide monthly financial reporting package for Executive Team, including variance analysis for entities. Lead audit process across all entities and manage requests to ensure timely responses. Main point of contact for Audit and Tax requests. Work with the CFO as well as external audit team to ensure a clean and timely year end audit. Coordinate PBC's and provide information to external auditors as needed. Provide information to tax preparers as needed as well as coordinate PBC's and manage multiple tax deadlines. Assist in development and implementation of new processes, procedures and features to maintain integrity and enhance the workflow for all accounting departments. Provide training to new and existing staff as needed. Support CFO with special projects and workflow process improvements. Lead budget and forecasting activities. Occasionally travel to other locations as needed. Bookkeeping for various entities. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Experience) Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills required Knowledge of GAAP, including corporate tax provisions Ability to lead and provide guidance to peer groups Must be PC proficient and able to thrive in a fast -pace setting Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Prior experience with an ERP, preferably Navision, is preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required. Financial statement preparation skills Strong organizational and time management skills Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred BA/BS in Business 5 to 7 years prior supervisory experience in the financial reporting/general ledger area Experience working in agriculture preferred Physical Requirements While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; frequently required to talk or hear; and occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
