After years of working with vulnerable populations, we have developed innovative approaches to address different problems in healthcare and the housing crisis. NHHA is seeking a dedicated Financial Controller to join our team of mission driven professionals.
The Controller will:
Oversees accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, expense reporting processing, and general ledger maintenance. Collaborates with the billing team on Revenue Cycle Management as it scales to ensure accuracy, compliance, timeliness and cash flow. Analyzes financial data and provides insightful reports. Manages budgeting processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Maintains compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations. Oversees and coordinates financial aspects of multiple projects simultaneously. Collaborates with department leads to monitor budgets, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as needed. Builds and maintains strong relationships, serving as contact for financial matters. Collaborates with operations to understand their financial needs and provide strategic guidance and support on accounting best practices and financial management. Prepares timely and accurate financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for internal and external stakeholders. Ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial documentation. Identifies opportunities for process improvements and implements efficiency enhancements to financial workflows. Collaborates with the CFO on implementing and maintaining an effective internal control environment to safeguard financial assets. Mentor the growing Accounting and Finance team, ensuring effective collaboration and alignment with organizational goals.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field required; master's degree in accountancy desirable; CPA certification highly desirable. Minimum of 3 years' experience as an Assistant Controller, Controller, or similar position at a consulting/advisory firm, healthcare organization, healthcare or housing provider (for-profit or non-profit), or social impact organization, preferred. Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and non-profit accounting standards, financial management, and reporting. Exceptional project management skills, ability to manage multiple projects. Demonstrated proficiency in Oracle NetSuite ERP. Additional experience or working knowledge of Quickbooks Online for support of Operational Partners. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Commitment to NHHA's mission and passion.
