Santa Barbara, CA Reports to: Chief Financial Officer Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Controller to serve as the senior accounting professional responsible for overseeing our radiology practice's day-to•day accounting operations. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records and maintaining effective internal controls. The Controller will oversee the monthly close process, financial reporting, account reconciliations, audit support, and compliance activities. The Controller also assists with treasury functions, including cash management, banking activities, and cash flow monitoring. Working closely with the accounting team and leadership, the Controller ensures timely and reliable financial information to support the Practice's operational needs. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of progressive accounting experience , holds an active CPA , and has prior experience in the healthcare industry . Key Responsibilities Financial Close, Reporting & Audit Own month‐, quarter‐, and year‐end close processes and deliver accurate, GAAP‐compliant financial statements Prepare consolidated financials and management reporting packages Lead the annual 5500 audit and external audit relationships Maintain chart of accounts and accounting policies Internal Controls, Compliance & Risk Design and enforce internal controls across all accounting cycles Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations Oversee healthcare‐specific financial compliance requirements Manage corporate insurance programs, schedules, and renewals Treasury & Cash Management Monitor daily cash balances across entities Optimize banking relationships and treasury operations Implement strong cash controls and approval workflows Revenue Cycle & Cost Accounting Partner with revenue cycle teams to validate revenue recognition Support service‐line profitability analysis and cost accounting Assist with pricing and cost‐related decisions Operations & People Leadership Enable process improvements and systems automation Partner with HR, IT, and Clinical Operations as needed Planning & Strategy Support budgeting and reforecasting Analyze performance metrics and produce dashboards Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting (Master's preferred) Active CPA license (required) 10+ years of progressive accounting experience Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred Expert knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting Experience managing accounting for multiple entities Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills Core Competencies Strong financial and analytical acumen Operational excellence with a continuous improvement mindset Clear communicator and trusted business partner High integrity, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $160,000•$190,000 (commensurate with experience) Performance‐based bonus 401(k) with profit sharing Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and company holidays Continuing education and CPA license reimbursement
