This role combines strong accounting leadership with ownership of financial technology to ensure accounting processes, job costing, and financial reporting are accurate, efficient, and scalable. This individual will play a key role in maintaining and improving the company's accounting platform, while identifying opportunities for automation and process improvements. In office 100%, Santa Clara, CA Key Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Leadership Oversee accounting operations including general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting Lead and support the month-end and year-end close process Maintain strong internal controls and support audit and compliance requirements Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial and project cost data across systems Financial Systems & ERP Management Lead the strategy, management, and optimization of financial systems supporting construction accounting processes Serve as ERP system administrator, including configuration, user access, security roles, and integrations Oversee financial system upgrades, enhancements, and integrations with operational tools Provide troubleshooting, training, and support to accounting and operational users Construction Operations Support Provide oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable, job costing, and project financial reporting Enhance reporting capabilities for project performance, cost tracking, and financial analysis Partner with accounting, finance, and operations leadership to improve system utilization and project visibility Process Improvement & Automation Identify and implement automation opportunities such as monthly billing and certified payroll processes Develop and document system workflows and accounting procedures to improve consistency and scalability Drive continuous improvement initiatives across accounting systems and processes Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 10+ years of accounting and finance experience, preferably within the construction industry Experience with construction accounting systems, ideally Foundation Software or similar ERP platforms Experience as an ERP system administrator or advanced power user Strong understanding of construction accounting, including job costing, project reporting, and WIP schedules Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables and data analysis Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to work cross-functionally with accounting, project management, and operations teams Preferred Experience leading ERP implementations or major system upgrades Familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau Experience improving financial processes through automation or system enhancements Work Environment Works closely with accounting, finance, project managers, and operations leadership Acts as a strategic bridge between accounting processes and financial systems Supports continuous improvement of financial operations and reporting in a construction-focused environment #
