We are looking to add another well qualified, driven and multi-faceted individual to our team as a Controller to lead our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our accounting practices. Our ideal candidate is well-organized and competent with processing financial data, as well as flexible enough to perform varied office management/administrative tasks... //www.facebook.com/Thebuilderscollective Duties Manage all aspects of financial accounting and reporting, including preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual taxes, insurance, 1099 reporting & record keeping, Invoicing, Job costing, AR/AP, Payroll, Employee onboarding/offboarding. Accounting & Bookkeeping Full service bookkeeping Maintain accurate company financial accounting/reporting records & filing systems Manage QuickBooks Desktop, Quickbooks Time, Google Workspace Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and vendor statements monthly Process accounts payable and accounts receivable Maintain biweekly schedule of job costing and budget tracking systems for client invoicing Prepare & maintain accurate quarterly financial reports including Profit & Loss Statements and Balance Sheets Coordinate with CPA for quarterly/yearly tax compliance Manage subcontractor and vendor accounts, onboarding & documentation collection for 1099 contractor reporting & liability insurance coverages Track employee advances and repayment schedules Ensure all financial records are complete, organized, and audit-ready Client Billing & Job Cost Accounting Generate and submit client invoices on a biweekly schedule Assemble complete invoice packages including receipts, subcontractor invoices, labor documentation, and budget updates for all billable project costs Maintain project budget trackers and estimate-to-actual reporting Manage outstanding receivables and collection efforts Coordinate invoice review and approval with Project Managers and company leadership Maintain client financial records and project documentation Payroll & Compliance Coordinate employee timecard approval with leadership every Monday Process bi-weekly payroll through QuickBooks Assisted Payroll & Quickbooks Time sync for employee timecards Manage employee time tracking systems Verify and correct timecard discrepancies File payroll tax reports 941, 940, DE9 and related compliance documents, Payroll tax payments, Employee deductions Maintain employee records W2, I9, and payroll documentation Administer employee deductions, advances, and reimbursements Coordinate new hire onboarding & offboarding Assist with employee benefits administration Maintain insurance policies, licenses, and compliance documentation Qualifications Required Minimum 3 years of full-charge bookkeeping or accounting experience Proficient in QuickBooks Desktop/ Quickbooks Time Advanced Microsoft Excel/ Google Worskpace skills Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently Preferred Construction accounting experience, Construction background Accounting or CPA License Job costing and project-based accounting experience Office management experience in Construction Industry Compensation & Benefits 100K-150K Salary, PTO, Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Roth IRA To Apply Please submit: Resume Cover Letter Emailed to office@builderscollective.net Tell us about your bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, operations, or construction administration experience and why you believe you would be a strong fit for The Builders Collective.
