Controller

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Controller to lead our financial winery operations and ensure the integrity of our accounting practices . This vital role involves overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance, while supporting strategic decision-making to drive company growth. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in Winery &/or Agricultural finance, project management, and Quickbooks on Line and Desktop while contributing to a thriving and innovative environment. 3+ years as a Controller;FP& A knowledge; strong analytical/organizational/leadership skills; able to work with all management levels

About You:

Integrity, communication, critical thinking, attention to detail, results driven are you daily mantra's You will Own all accounting processes and reconciliations; Deliver timely monthly close (accrual and cash-based financials) and budgeting; oversees internal reporting (GL, bank recs, fixed assets, taxes/insurance, credit cards, cash and sales reporting, management reports); Coordinates tax filings with an external CPA firm; Manage inventory movement tracking/reporting and cost accounting (Bulk Wine); Maintains regulatory wine movement reporting systems; develops departmental objectives/policies/procedures; identifies cost-control initiatives; Direct Reports•1 bookeeper

Qualifications:

Bachelor's in Finance/Accounting/Business (MBA preferred); CPA desired ; 3-5 years public accounting plus several years related experience; Experience Demonstrated ability in the following areas (collections, budgeting, tax, banking, cash management, regulatory, cost control); team leadership; ability to manage multiple projects/deadlines; strong communication/presentation; cost accounting knowledge; wine industry experience a plus; QuickBooks Desktop/Online experience•Preferred Expert level

Pay:

$65,000.00•$85,000.00 per year
