Controller

Job Description The ideal candidate is a hands-on, detail-oriented finance leader with strong exposure to manufacturing operations. You will oversee the company's financial records and accounting team, and be responsible for maintaining and improving all procedures and controls related to the company's financial accounts. Must Haves Direct exposure to manufacturing (plant / cost environment) Public accounting foundation or strong cost accounting background 5-12 years of progressive accounting/finance experience Proven "go-getter" mentality with a bias for action and continuous improvement Responsibilities Oversee and maintain the company's general ledger, financial records, and accounting procedures Ensure compliance with all relevant government and regulatory requirements Serve as primary point of contact for external auditors and manage audit processes Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets Analyze financial transactions, manufacturing costs, and variances to support operational decisions Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports Partner with operations and leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; or equivalent 5-7+ years of related experience (5-12 years total experience required as noted above) Experience in a manufacturing environment is required Public accounting and/or cost accounting experience strongly preferred Strong knowledge of GAAP; CPA preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and drive results in a fast-paced environment
